SUPPORTING STUDENT AID
Milo is a home away from home for dozens of students, faculty and staff—and for many, we mean that quite literally. For some of our students, Milo isn’t just a school; it’s a refuge. With students representing 13 different countries, Milo has become a place of solace and safety for many seeking stability and hope.
One such story is Anna’s—an 11th grader from Ukraine. When war broke out, the sound of air alarms became a daily reality, and with no shelter at home, even attending school was dangerous. Yet through all the fear and uncertainty, Anna held onto a dream: to study at Milo, just like her older sister who had once found peace and purpose here.
For a time, that dream felt impossible. Yet, through the incredible generosity of sponsors, the support of a caring staff member and the help of Milo’s student aid program, Anna was able to join our campus and begin a new, safer chapter of her life.
The peaceful, rural setting of Milo provided a stark contrast to the turmoil she left behind. “I like the quiet, calming environment here,” Anna shared.
This Christmas, we invite you to give the gift of safety, solace, and a home away from home to students like Anna.
With a need of $500,000 by the start of next school year, we invite you to help us end this year on a great start and donate by clicking on the button below:
