GRADUATION WEEKEND BAPTISMS
Graduation weekend at Milo Adventist Academy is always a time of celebration — but this year, it was even more meaningful as we witnessed eight young people commit their lives to Jesus through baptism.
Six of the eight individuals baptized were part of the graduating Class of 2025, making this milestone not just the culmination of their academic journey, but also the powerful beginning of their walk with Christ. During the church service, baptismal vows were taken, and the students publicly affirmed their faith and desire to follow Jesus.
Later in the afternoon, the celebration continued at the serene South Umpqua River. Surrounded by the beauty of nature and the support of family, friends, and school staff, the students were baptized by a team that included teachers, staff members, our former pastor, and Pastor Tom Kyser, our current pastor and Campus Ministries Director. Each student was baptized by someone who had personally walked with them on their spiritual journey and studied the Bible with them in preparation for baptism.
This meaningful event was the culmination of a journey that gained momentum during Pentecost 2025, the student-led evangelistic series held in April.
The baptisms during graduation weekend were a powerful testament to the work God is doing at Milo, not just through classes and activities, but in the hearts of our students. Seeing young people step forward in faith, supported by a community that has nurtured and prayed for them, is a reminder of why Milo exists: to educate for eternity.
We praise God for each life dedicated to Him and look forward to seeing how He will continue to lead these young people as they move forward in faith and purpose.
